Adhiguna Kuncoro - Mentor
Adhiguna Kuncoro is a Research Master’s student at the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) Language Technologies Institute, School of Computer Science. His research interests lie in the area of artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and machine learning. He is funded by a Graduate Research Fellowship at CMU, through the DARPA Low-Resource Languages for Emergent Incidents (LORELEI) Project, and previously did research internships at the Nara Institute of Science & Technology, Japan and the University of Washington, Seattle. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, where he served as the President of the ITB Informatics Student Union (HMIF ITB). He is currently serving as the President of Indonesians (PERMIAS) @ CMU. He enjoys traveling to new places and Scuba diving in his spare time.

Agus is a doctoral student in Human Development and Family Studies at the Pennsylvania State University. He is interested in examining the intersection among stress, health, and socioeconomic status. Specifically, he is interested in analyzing the interactions among daily stress, socioeconomic status, and health in the context of economic downturn. In addition, he is also interested in studying the biological aspects of daily stress and its relations to health, socioeconomic status, and macro-economic condition. Agus earned his bachelor degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Bogor Agricultural University. He also holds a master’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies from Purdue University. He is a moviegoer and enjoy playing badminton and table tennis in his spare times.

He is currently an Information, Media, and Edutainment Profesional for Telkom Indonesia, managing a crew of professional engineers for providing Telkom digital services and solutions and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. He is also a data science enthusiast with extensive knowledge on large scale database systems and an aspiring member of Data Science Indonesia community. Previously, he was a junior manager of payment and collection in Telkom's Central Borneo Regional Office, safeguarding the company revenues and cash in flows through utilizing digital tools.
Ahmad Amiruddin - Mentor
Ahmad (Aam) has just recently finished his postgraduate study at the University of Leeds majoring in International Banking. During his postgraduate tenure, he was engaged in the Indonesian Student Association in United Kingdom (PPI UK). Prior to that, he worked for Citibank, N.A., Indonesia Branch. His field of interest revolves around international policy on bank capital adequacy, under which topic he presented his paper at an international conference held at the University of Oxford. His activities aside, he plots his time to work out, read fiction/non-fiction books, and is a mind-twisting thriller movies enthusiast.
Albert Christian Soewongsono - Mentor
Albert Christian Soewongsono was born in Kupang on April 15th, 1997. He currently holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Mathematical Analysis from Nusa Cendana University. Prior to this year, he has received scholarship from LPDP to continue his study for a Master's program at the Australian National University on next year. He previously worked as a teaching assistant at the Department of Mathematics at his previous university and as a student mentor in the UniBRIDGE Program, a web-based language and cultural exchange program funded by Australia-Indonesia Institute and Australia's DFAT between his university and some Australian universities.Currently, he actively engages in several community-based organizations, such as MITRA (Eastern Indonesian Students Foreign Relations) as the advisor, and AIYA (Australia-Indonesia Youth Association) Chapter East Nusa Tenggara as the treasurer.

Ariana Alisjahbana is a recent MBA graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Originally trained as an economist with a BA from Boston University, Ariana started her career at the global think tank World Resources Institute (WRI) in Washington, DC. At WRI, she led the creation of the institute’s first Southeast Asian office and worked with the governments of the United States, Indonesia, and Singapore on environmental issues. Fascinated by her experience developing Global Forest Watch, Ariana decided to pursue an MBA focusing on the internet industry. Ariana completed her MBA internship at Google, where she was part of a global team that developed the new Allo Messenger app. After Google, she interned at Yik Yak, a location-based social media company. Aries Setiadi is a junior macroeconomic analyst at Budget Formulation Office of the Ministry of Finance Indonesia, providing insights on Indonesia’s macroeconomic and social development progress. He currently also serves as a writer for Warta Anggaran, a biannual magazine on budget and economy, and actively involves in various efforts of the Office to promote budget transparency. Armina Padmasawitri is a Ph.D. candidate of The Pharmacoepidemiology and Clinical Pharmacology Division at Utrecht University, The Netherlands. Armina completed her pharmacist education and training, as well as her master degree from School of Pharmacy, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia. During her bachelor and master study, Armina was involved in several pharmacoeconomics researches. Beside her study, she was also active in the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (IPSF), as well as other pharmacy and health related students’ organizations. Currently, Armina’s research focus is on the health economic evaluation of Tuberculosis management in High Burden Countries, which is supported by the government of Indonesia through Indonesia Endowment for Education (LPDP). She is also interested in the application of health economic evaluation in Low-Middle Income Countries.

Cazadira Fediva Tamzil - Mentor
Cazadira Fediva Tamzil holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree from the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Universitas Indonesia. Best Graduate of both her Department and Faculty, Cazadira’s main academic interests lie on the power of civil societies and non-conventional International Relations issues. She was Student Body President in Junior and Senior High School - denouncing pessimism towards gender equality and political leadership. In University, she decided to voice out solutions for global issues through Model United Nations – becoming the ‘Best Delegate’ in the 2013 European International MUN (TEIMUN), as well as Chair in both the 2014 TEIMUN and the 2015 Harvard World Model United Nations. In 2015, Cazadira reached the pinnacle of her leadership journey when she was named McKinsey’s Young Leader for Indonesia. Active as a Teaching and Research Assistant since her 6th semester in University, she aspires to be a leading social science scholar. Fauzia is an architectural designer. She graduated from University of Michigan in 2016 and Universitas Indonesia in 2011. She is particularly interested in the relationship between human health conditions and multiple scales of designed environments. Both of her thesis research explored notions of human olfactory as a tool for spatial aesthetic experiences. Ghazi Binarandi - Mentor
Ghazi Binarandi received an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in 2016 and a B.S. from the Department of Civil Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2012. During his time at Purdue, he worked at IISL (Intelligent Infrastructure Systems Laboratory). In the summer of 2016, he studied at the University of Cambridge for a three-week summer school program, APESS. In Cambridge, he also presented a conference paper co-authored by him at the ANCRiSST 2016 (12th International Workshop on Advanced Smart Materials and Smart Structures Technology) and attended the ICSIC (International Conference on Smart Infrastructure and Construction). Prior to that, she has worked as an analyst at a hedge fund and at a global fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company. Hanifah Ahmad will be starting Master of Public Policy (MPP) programme at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford this fall. She was a mentee at Indonesia Mengglobal in 2015 and is now excited to work with two mentees eyeing for philosophy and social policy degrees. She has worked in multilateral organisations, political risk consultancy and most recently was a policy officer at the British Embassy Jakarta where she advised governance policies and assessed bilateral economic governance projects. She has just been back from China, leading the Indonesian delegation for the Youth 20 Summit, one of four engagement groups within the G20 focusing on youth-orientated policy recommendations for the G20 Leaders Summit in September. Irene Mira is a LLM Candidate in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution, Queen Mary University of London. Prior to pursuing her LLM, she was involved in research projects on international investment law and business and human rights with Indonesia government entity and an ASEAN-based NGO. During her undergraduate studies at Universitas Indonesia, she interned with the commercial litigation and Indonesian practice desks of Rajah & Tann LLP, Singapore. Kamia Handayani - Mentor
Kamia Handayani is a PhD researcher at Department of Governance and Technology for Sustainability (CSTM), University of Twente, the Netherlands. Her research is focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation in the Indonesian power sector. She holds a Master of Science (Cum Laude) in Energy and Environmental Management from University of Twente and a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung. Kamia has worked as environmental specialist at PT PLN (Persero), the National Power Company of Indonesia since 2005. Her contributions in this company include formulating quantitative measurement for evaluating environmental management performances of PLN’s business units all over Indonesia. Furthermore, Kamia contributed to the development of climate change mitigation policy of the company. Kamia has extensive experiences on clean development mechanism (CDM) and verified carbon standard (VCS) projects starting from project initiation until issuance of carbon credits.

Michael has a Physics BSc from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and a Materials Science & Engineering PhD from Carnegie Mellon (Pittsburgh, USA). He has worked on very diverse research areas, spanning from magnetism, sensors, ultrafast lasers, solar cells, OLEDs, power transformers, electric motors, and semiconductors. Michael is currently a Design Enablement engineer at GlobalFoundries in upstate New York, USA. Nadya Intan Kemala is an LPDP Awardee and currently pursuing her MA in International Development at the University of Sheffield, UK. Her passion and goals to be a professional development practitioner has emerged since she was an International Relations student at Universitas Padjadjaran, Indonesia. In her undergrad period, she has actively been involved as a liaison officer coordinator in many event such as 'YOURS' (a motivational youth seminar combined with cinematography experience), Jatinangor Education Care (JEC-social movement and event organiser) and 'Symphonesia' (HI Unpad biggest music and seminar). She was also being chosen as a delegation for Ajou University-South Korea Spring Semester Exchange Program and JENESYS Batch 18 Tokyo-Kumamoto. Naimah Lutfi Talib - Mentor
Naimah Lutfi Talib is currently working as a freelance researcher in Adelaide, South Australia. She's awardee of LPDP Scholarship from the Indonesian Ministry of Finance and look forward to study in Crawford School of Public Policy at Australian National University in January 2017. Naimah had almost two years of experience in Edelman Indonesia, a strategic communication consultancy, at the Corporate and Public Affairs Division. Before joining Edelman, Naimah accomplished one year of social work through a not-for-profit organization called Indonesia Mengajar, which allowed her to teach children in Sangihe archipelago, North Sulawesi. She was the communication officer for Telkomsigma, the largest Data Center and IT Managed Services provider in Indonesia. Graduated with Cum Laude predicate from Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at Universitas Indonesia (UI), she is experienced in the fields of public affairs, social and communication research, policy review, as well as stakeholder mappings. He is passionated in energy industry, as he ever worked as Facility Engineer in Chevron Pacific Indonesia as university student. Ryan Sosiawan - Mentor
Ryan Sosiawan is currently an MSc candidate in Information Management program at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. Prior to his higher degree program, he had been working for IBM and Microsoft for 5 years, as IT Consultant and Product Manager respectively. His current interest is towards Analytics and the field of Data Science as he believes that every decision could be made easily if it's based of facts. Shintya Kurniawan is an alumna of the University of Indonesia, majoring in Communication. Previously, she served as a journalist for CosmoGIRL! Indonesia and wrote articles related to leadership, environmental sustainability, social changes, and entertainment. Later on, she joined the communication team of WWF-Indonesia and World Vision Indonesia as Media Relations Officer. She is most passionate about disaster-mitigation communication, especially those related to climate change. Shofa Ashilah Dariatna is a novel student at Erasmus University Rotterdam, taking LL.M. Commercial and Company Law as her major. She graduated from law school in March 2015 where she took Business Law as a concentration. During her undergraduate study, she took part as an active member in ALSA (Asian Law Students' Association). In the field of work, Shofa was an intern in Badan Pertanahan Nasional (National Land Institution) and being a part of Notary Office in Surabaya. Steffi Melinda holds a Master of Computer Science (M.Sc) for Business Intelligence from Erasmus Mundus for Information Technology for Business Intelligence (IT4BI) program, and Bachelor from Universitas Indonesia. Yudisaputra Betaubun graduated from Universitas Indonesia with three academic degrees; Bachelor of Law, Bachelor of Economics, and Diploma of Finance and Banking Administration. Nuning Hallett (or Nuning Purwaningrum) is a Ph.D. Candidate in Global Gender Studies at State University of New York at Buffalo. She received Fulbright scholarship, University at Buffalo Presidential Fellowship, and Margaret McNamara Memorial Funds for her Ph.D. program. Her main research focuses on mixed-nationality marriages, migration, virtual activism among Indonesian women migrants and citizenship. Her academic interests stemmed from her advocacy and intervention works for Indonesian women in transnational marriage for 12 years. She is the initiator of limited-dual citizenship for children, an idea that was adopted in the newly amended Indonesian Citizenship laws 2006.
