Monika Oktora

Monika Pury Oktora, or Monik, was born in Padang, but spent her childhood in Bandung. Raised by amazing mother and father, she graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in 2010, majoring Clinical and Community Pharmacy. A year later she took professional education of pharmacist still in ITB. Following her graduation, she worked as a book editor (medical and pharmacy books) in a publishing company in Jakarta, then she continued work in Center of Poison Information, National Agency of Drug and Food Control (NADFC), Jakarta. Lastly, she worked as pharmacist in private health clinic in Bandung. During her work years, she still had a passion to pursue her education overseas. Finally, in 2014 she received master degree at MSc. Medical Pharmaceutical Science, University of Groningen (RuG), with LPDP scholarship grant. Monika loves reading books, novels, comics, and has a dream to build a little warm library in her home later. She also likes blog-walking, travelling, and trying new recipe. She enjoys baking cakes with her daughter. She lives in Groningen with her little family, that’s the best thing that happen. Her favorite wisdom words is: “Innallaha ma’ashabiriin” (Allah is with those who are patient)
