Indonesia Mengglobal has a big vision: to provide access to information about global schools and scholarship opportunities to as many Indonesian students as possible. To reach that goal, we need your help! We currently have three different roles to fill: regional editors, social media manager, and campus representatives. These are unpaid, pro-bono roles that allows you to be creative, take lead, and have fun! We hope that you will seriously consider applying and join us in this collaborative effort.

Regional Editors

Indonesia Mengglobal is expanding to cover other regions around the globe. Therefore, we need regional editors who can be responsible for editorial activities within their specific regions and be part of our core team.  We are currently seeking one editor to cover each of the following regions:

  • Asia
  • Australia
  • Europe

Roles and responsibilities

  • Overseeing the whole editorial cycle from recruiting a contributor to editing, scheduling and publishing the article; bringing in one new contributor and editing one or two articles every month.
  • Be actively involved in strategy formulation and management of Indonesia Mengglobal.

Why become a Regional Editor?

  • Develop leadership, journalistic and outreach skills, a solid résumé builder.
  • Contribute towards shaping Indonesia Mengglobal’s strategies going forward
  • Have direct access to Indonesia Mengglobal’s network of students and alumni.

Who are we looking for?

A Regional Editor must be:

  • A student or alumni of higher education institution in the relevant region (i.e. you must have studied in countries other than Indonesia).
  • Experienced in writing in English and Bahasa Indonesia, preferably with prior editorial experience.
  • Communicative, responsive, and proficient in using social media.
  • Committed to spend four hours a week while assuming the role.

Social Media Manager

We are currently recruiting a social media manager for the year of2013. You will be in charge of managing Indonesia Mengglobal’s social media accounts and leading our outreach initiatives.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Handling Indonesia Mengglobal’s Facebook and Twitter activities.
  • Leading the design and execution of online events.
  • Becoming an online resource for questions related to our activities and events.

Why become a Social Media Manager?

  • Have direct access to Indonesia Mengglobal’s network of students and alumni.
  • Receive support for your school application if you intend to study overseas. We are committed to help you in your application process. You will also be directly connected with students or alumni of the schools of your choice.

Who are we looking for?

A Social Media Manager must be:

  • An Indonesian citizen residing in Indonesia.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Communicative, responsive, and proficient in using social media, preferably with prior experience in social media marketing.
  • Committed to spend two hours a week throughout the year.

Campus Representatives

We are looking for campus representatives for the year of 2013. As a campus representative, you will be in charge of increasing students’ awareness of Indonesia Mengglobal on campus.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Working with campus officials to organize Indonesia Mengglobal-related events.
  • Promoting Indonesia Mengglobal to students on campus through social media or other platforms.
  • Becoming the go-to person for any questions related to Indonesia Mengglobal’s events and activities coming from the campus community.

Why become a Campus Rep?

  • Develop leadership and outreach skills, a solid résumé builder.
  • Have direct access to Indonesia Mengglobal’s network of students and alumni.
  • Receive support for your school application if you intend to study overseas. We are committed to help you in your application process. You will also be directly connected with students or alumni of the schools of your choice.

Who are we looking for?

A Campus Representative must be:

  • An Indonesian citizen residing in Indonesia.
  • A full time undergraduate student at one of the following universities: Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), or Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB).
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Communicative, responsive, and proficient in using social media.
  • Committed to work for three hours a week throughout the year.

We are currently focusing only on the three universities mentioned above and will expand to other high schools/universities in the future. However, if you feel strongly about having your school represented and are passionate about being a campus representative, please contact us.
